During the discussions on `Latest terrorist acts in Belgium` in PACE, a member of Armenian delegation, N.Karapetyan has devoted her speech to the false and slanderous accusations against Azerbaijan over the recent escalation on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and tried to deceive the members of Assembly, AzVision.az reports.

Speaking on behalf of the Azerbaijani delegation, MP Ganira Pashayeva sharply slammed to Armenian counterpart`s accusations and expressed her objection.

`Karapetyan, not my country Azerbaijan, but your country Armenia keeps killing civilians. My country has never occupied any countries` lands. However, your country occupied more than 20% of Azerbaijani lands and more than 1 million Azerbaijanis became internally displaced people. Your country Armenia murdered more than 20 thousand Azerbaijani people. My relatives and friends were among them as well `.

Your oppressor country – Armenia murdered a vast majority of people in Khojaly region of Azerbaijan. Your country - Armenia perpetrated genocide in Khojaly in a night. You have ruined Khojaly city . It is Armenia committed crimes like ISIS. Why did you express your objection when your country committed terror acts against Azerbaijani people? Now you are talking about fight against terrorism?!

Distinguished members of the Assembly, I strongly condemn N.Karapetyan who made false statements against Azerbaijan instead of protesting against the crimes committed by the military forces of the Armenian Republic. The assembly should not remain silent in terms of the Armenian crimes. I appeal you as a representative of a country suffered from plenty of terror attacks supported by the Armenian Republic`.

`Europe and PACE should not allow for double standards in the struggle against terror and must give up doing it. Europe, European Council and PACE should struggle harshly against terror regardless of where and by whom committed the terror attacks and without ethnic and religious discrimination. Unfortunately, Europe and the organization did not exhibit strict attitude in the course of terror attacks committed against Azerbaijanis. I support the discussions of the assembly in the direction of strengthening our joint efforts`, G.Pashayeva noted.

MP touched on the terror attacks committed against Azerbaijanis with the direct support of the Armenian Republic. Furthermore, she complained of a lack of Europe’s support for Azerbaijan to struggle against terror. `The terror organizations supported by the Armenian Republic perpetrated a great number of bloody terror incidents which resulted in the explosion of subways, railway trains and buses. Hundreds of thousands of people and children became the victims of the terror incidents`, she added.

Many mothers, babies still shed tears for their losses. I totally agree with the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu`s recent speech at the PACE. There should not be any distinction among terrorist organisations. Ruling out of the double standards, all the member states should join their efforts against terrorism.
