He made the remarks at the meeting held Apr. 22 within the framework of the project “Ambassador before audience”, co-initiated by Azerbaijan Association of Young Diplomats and the Institute of Political Studies of Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Laslotsky noted that more than 20 mutual visits have been made between Hungary and Azerbaijan in the last two years.
Relations between presidents and ministers of the two countries are based on mutual confidence, according to the ambassador.
Economic issues are of great importance in bilateral relations, Laslotsky said, adding that the relations are developing dynamically and there are potential areas of cooperation.
He said that Hungary has an observer status in the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TURKPA), noting the development of parliamentary relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan.
