ELSA wins international award - PHOTOS
ELSA Azerbaijan was awarded with ELSA Day prize for the best event held to promote human rights during a year and founded by the European Council at the 69th International Council Meeting held in Malta, AzVision.az reports.
ELSA Azerbaijan`s short-movie contest "The Orange Movie Festival" won the award among 150 submissions. A statue was awarded to the President Faig Omarov by the Attaché of Public Relations and Publication of Council of Europe, Barbara Orkwiszewska.

`The vast majority of events held in the field of gender equality surprised us on the upside. It was difficult to select the winner among the events. However, ELSA Azerbaijan`s multilateral event ensured us that the enlightenment of gender equality can be achieved through legal knowledge, art, media and participation of a large number of young people. We kindly congratulate ELSA Azerbaijan`, Antonia Markoviti, Vice President for Academic Activities of the European Law Students` Association (ELSA) said.

With its 40,000 members ELSA is the world`s largest independent law students` association. ELSA provides opportunities for international exchange, diversified legal education and personal professional development for law students and young lawyers. ELSA members are law students and recent graduates who have an academic focus and have demonstrated commitment to international issues. Azerbaijan is the member of ELSA since 2010 and one of the most active members of it.

ELSA (The European Law Students` Association) is an international, independent, non-political, non-profit-making organisation run by and for students. ELSA is the world`s largest independent law students association and it is represented at nearly 300 law faculties in 41 countries across Europe with membership in excess of 40 000 students and young lawyers.
