The families of the hostages who were taken hostages in Armenian-occupied Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan worry as they did not get any news from them after the latest escalation of situation on the front line.
The enemy side torture the hostages, nephew of Shahbaz Guliyev, Natig Aliyev told AzVision.az.
`The enemy side gets its revenge from the hostages. We could not get any news from Shahbaz. Furthermore, his letter was not delivered to his family. I suppose, his condition is not good. I am sure that the enemy torture the hostages. We all are worried. We even do not know whether they are alive or not... `, Natig Aliyev emphasized.
` Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Dilgam Asgarov a few days ago. The Committe said, the situation on the front line is tense. In this regard, it was impossible to get letter from both sides. They told me that my father`s condition is good. However, we do not believe in it. If the Armenians did not torture him, they would show video of him`, Kurdoglu Askerov, Dilgam Askerov`s son said.
Note that, in July of 2014, Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage and another Azerbaijani citizen Hasan Hasanov was shot to death by the Armenian servicemen while trying to visit their homeland in Kalbajar. Hasan Hasanov’s body was taken from the enemy and buried in Baku. On December 19, 2014, the “court” of the separatist regime in occupied Nagorno-Karabakh sentenced Dilgam Asgarov to life in prison, Shahbaz Guliyev to 22 years in prison.
