Karabakh conflict
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a serious and painful issue, Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Michael B. Christides told reporters in Baku Apr. 27.
He expressed hope for a peaceful solution to the conflict.

“I hope the conflict will be resolved peacefully and we won’t witness violence and the use of heavy artillery,” the BSEC secretary general said.

Recalling that Azerbaijan is one of the co-founders of the BSEC, Christides said he met with Azerbaijan’s foreign minister in Baku.

“I briefed him on the work done within the organization. I asked him for support so that the organization is able to meet its goals and objectives”, he added.
