The diplomat mentioned that his country imports oil from Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan is the second-biggest oil-exporter to Indonesia. We need Azerbaijani oil but Azerbaijan does not import a lot of products from Indonesia although there is a huge potential for it. We need to expand our cooperation in this area. I will try to contribute to develop tourism relations. As you know, Azerbaijani tourists can stay in Indonesia without visa for a month. I will do my best for a direct flight route to be established,” he said.
The ambassador added that the development of trade and investment will be a priority issue. According to him, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev may pay a visit to Indonesia by the end of this year.
