Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev visited the grave of Azerbaijan`s National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor on his birth anniversary on May 10.
President Aliyev laid a wreath at the tomb of the national leader.
Today marks the 93rd birth anniversary of the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, outstanding statesman, a brilliant son and nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.
It is the twelfth year that the grateful Azerbaijani people, all those who knew and loved Heydar Aliyev, are marking his birth anniversary.
Each year on May 10, on the birthday of the national leader, from early morning the representatives of the public, people who come to Baku from different regions and cities of Azerbaijan, the guests of the Azerbaijani capital visit the Alley of Honor, laying wreaths and flowers at the tomb of the national leader, revere his memory, and recite prayers for him.
