Swedish MP urges UN Security Council to take serious measures against Armenia
The UN Security Council should take serious measures against Armenia that still ignores the organization
He noted that it is regrettable that the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council a few years ago remain unfulfilled.

“We know very well that Azerbaijan’s lands were occupied. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has started since the beginning of the century – Azerbaijan was forcibly annexed by the Soviet Union. That is, the Azerbaijani lands were forcibly seized. When a decision is made the UN, all this, of course, is taken into account,” the MP said.

Avsan said that he is against the resumption of war and concrete results should be demanded from the OSCE Minsk Group that is the only mediator in the settlement of the conflict.

“The Minsk Group was entrusted with resolving the conflict. They would have to put forward a concrete plan to find a solution to the conflict. Unfortunately, we didn’t see it. The Minsk Group must achieve concrete results to prevent further bloodshed. Russia is also interested in this issue and bears responsibility in the settlement of the conflict. We are familiar with the problem of Azerbaijan and realize how sensitive it is for the region,” he added.
