The Foreign Ministry told that Mammadyarov spoke in detail about Azerbaijan’s role in ensuring stability, progress, regional cooperation and international partnership in the region, economic and geopolitical significance of the large-scale regional projects implemented at the initiative and by the participation of Azerbaijan, its balanced foreign policy, and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
Recalling the resolutions and decisions of international organizations regarding the conflict, the minister said Armenia doesn’t comply with the calls of the international community to put an end to the occupation, on the contrary, it has recently increased attacks against Azerbaijan’s civilian population living near the frontline obviously violating the international humanitarian law.
Then Mammadyarov answered the questions of the participants.
The event was attended by 150 participants, including members of the Azerbaijani Parliament and German Bundestag, representatives of German government agencies, German political, scientific and cultural figures, foreign diplomats, media representatives and students.
