"Turkey has certain political and economic goals and one of them is to become a strong power in the region," said Kabakci.
He didn`t rule out that the new government will promote the adoption of a new constitution, as well as the transition from the parliamentary to the presidential system.
The extraordinary congress of the Justice and Development Party will be held May 22 to elect the new head of the party and the new prime minister of the country.
The Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication Binali Yildirim, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdag, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus, and the ruling party`s vice chairman Mehmet Ali Sahin are among the candidates.
The current Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that he will not run for the party chairman`s spot.
