Chairman of the parliament`s committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship Ziyad Samadzade said that this agreement will simplify the process of organizing the air traffic between the two countries, enhance their opportunities in this area, and create a healthy competition between the two countries` airlines.
The document envisages the elimination of state intervention in the airlines` commercial decisions related to the routes and pricing policy. It will allow airlines of both countries to provide with more satisfactory services in the area of passenger and cargo transportation.
Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC implements regular flights from Baku to New York with Boeing-787 twice a week since Sept. 23, 2013.
