Final bill of indictment issued against APFP deputy chairman
The preliminary investigation into the case of the deputy chairman of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli, who was arrested on charges of anti-state calls, is about to come to a close.
Fuad’s attorney, Fakhraddin Mehdiyev, told APA on Thursday that the final bill of indictment has been issued against his defendant, adding that the attorneys will begin reviewing materials relating to the case in the coming days.

Fuad Gahramanli was jailed for three months on December 8, 2015.

He is charged under articles 281.1 (public calls for the violent seizure of power) and 283.2.1 (inciting national, racial, social or religious enmity and hatred by using violence or threat of violence), and 220.2 (appeals to active insubordination to legal requirements of representatives of authority and to mass disorders, as well as appeals to violence above citizens) of Azerbaijan’s Criminal Code.
