Larkin said the death occurred on Thursday, May 19, but did not name the cause.
Angus Young was born in North Shields, England, on November 19, 1919. He grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland and then in West Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada).
During World War II, Young served in the Royal Canadian Navy.
A radio and TV host, voice artist, comedian, and actor, Alan Young is best known for the Mister Ed CBS television show which ran in the 60’s and where Young starred as Wilbur Post, the owner of a talking horse called Mr. Ed.
Young started voicing Scrooge McDuck after 1974, both in the Duck Tales series and in numerous Disney films.
