Edelgard Bulmahn highlighted the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group on the NK conflict settlement and the implementation of the agreements reached during the meeting of the Presidents of the two countries in Vienna. She expressed hope that the ceasefire will be preserved, and the agreements won’t remain on the paper and will be called into life, otherwise, repetition of the situation will be, to her conviction, should not be permitted. She expressed agreement to the view of the OSCE Minsk Group, according to which, the settlement of the conflict should not have military solution.
Furthermore, the monitoring mechanism of the OSCE will prevent the escalation of the tension in the frontline, she said: `The effective agreements will be achieved in presidents` meeting that will be held in June. Germany wants to observe positive dynamics in the negotiations. OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will do his best to achieve sustainable peace in the region`.
`Georgian officials clearly understand the danger of the Metsamor NPP for Caucasus. However, the NPP is used by Russia and other countries to threaten Turkye and Azerbaijan. Of course, the nuclear materials from the NPP are put on `black market` and sold to the terror organizations. Whole world and international community should support the closure of the Metsamor NPP`, she added.

Germany`s parliament support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Vice-Speaker of German Bundestag Edelgard Bulmahn told in the briefing held after the meeting with Vice-Speaker of the parliament of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov, Azvision.az reports.
