51.65% of the voters are women while 48.35% are men. The process of compiling a single voters` list was discussed at the meeting. Following the discussions, the CEC passed a decision on completion of works on the specification of the permanent voters` list of 2016, submission of the list to Constituency Election Commissions for approval and posting the list on the official website of the CEC using automated information system.
Azerbaijan has started the process of compiling a single voters` list since the beginning of January. The Precinct Election Commissions are carrying out this process within the period determined by law. According to the requirements of the Election Code, the PECs should submit voters` list on polling stations to relevant Constituency Election Commissions by February 5. The Constituency Election Commissions will hand over preliminary voters’ lists to the Central Election Commission by April 5.
