"Until now, was disclosed personal data about 5000 journalists, including members of the leading mass media of the world.
“Mirotvorec” believes that these journalists visiting the territory of the “DPR” and “LPR” and passing the accreditation of these separatist entities threaten the territorial integrity of Ukraine, promote advocacy of separatism and terrorism.
293 journalists from different countries, including 11 representatives of Azerbaijani media were added to the newly published list by Center and their personal data also were published.
The Press Council held a special investigation on the matter and determined that none of the listed Azerbaijani journalists attended the above-mentioned areas and none of them appealed for accreditation. In their activities was not revealed anything illegal action threatening to the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Also it was defined that "Mirotvorec", accusing the journalists in promoting terrorism and separatism, as the basis for this, shows only accrediting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Press Council declares that such activity of "Mirotvorec" Center, representing a danger for the lives and safety of a large number of journalists, contrary to the requirements of international law, the rules of ethics and principles of humanism. Trying to restrict the legitimate activities of journalists is unacceptable and can not be explained by any fair logic.
Press Council intends to apply to the authorities of Ukraine and the Ukraine Embassy in Azerbaijan with the requirement to take appropriate measures against such activities of the organization, endangering journalists", said in a statement.
