Spanish MP Jordi Xucla to lead PACE observation mission parliamentary election in Azerbaijan
A PACE mission led by Spanish MP Jordi Xucla will observe the re-run parliamentary election on the 90th Aghdash constituency in Azerbaijan, Samad Seyidov, head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE, told on Friday.
Seyidov said that the mission will include co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Azerbaijan Stefan Schennach and Cezar Preda.

He noted that the PACE Bureau and Standing Committee held discussions on Azerbaijan on May 26-27, positively assessing the ongoing processes in Azerbaijan, recent court decisions, the release of journalist Khadija Ismayilova and important steps taken in the field of human rights in Azerbaijan.

Spanish MP Jordi Xucla led the PACE observation mission during the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan on November 1, 2015.
