US White House on lockdown over suspicious package
The White House in the US capital of Washington was placed on lockdown over a suspicious package, local media reported Monday.
Fox News journalist Shannon Bream, relaying White House producer Wes Barrett’s words via Twitter, made the announcement an hour ago.

Video footage published online half an hour later claimed to depict crews in hazardous materials suits lining up 2 miles north of the White House.

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller alleged later that a suspicious package had been thrown over the White House fence.

Claims emerged since that President Barack Obama arrived shortly before his residence entered into lockdown mode.
