Some forces against Azerbaijan try to put pressure on Azerbaijan - Samad Seyidov
`The activity of the Joint Working Group on Human Rights in Azerbaijan was attempted to blackmail. However, it is impossible to happen. The issue on human rights is a global problem. We approach the issue carefully`, the Head of Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the co-chair of the Joint Working Group Samad Seyidov told AzVision.az.
Some forces try to put pressure on Azerbaijan using human rights. However, the internal and external policy pursued in Azerbaijan makes their claims baseless. Our state takes serious steps on providing human rights. This is one of our country`s priorities, he said.

Under the decree signed by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on March 15, 2015, 101 people, on December 28, 210 people, on March 17, 2016, 148 people have been freed from serving the remainder of the prison term. Totally, 459 people have been freed under the pardon decrees. The work of non-governmental organizations represented in the Working Group on Human Rights is praiseworthy, the co-chair of the joint working group said.
