Turkish MPs condemns German parliament
Germany is looking for a country that would like to share responsibility with it for the genocide committed by the Nazis against the Jews during World War II, Yusuf Hala
He was commenting on the resolution adopted by Germany’s Bundestag (parliament) on recognizing the 1915 events as “Armenian genocide”.

“Let Germany to answer this question: If Turks committed “genocide” against Armenians, how can Armenians live in the United States, France, Russia, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey? How can the Armenians take shelter in Turkey again? Why is the Bundestag disinterested in the fate of 518,301 Turks killed by Armenians and does not adopt a resolution in this regard? Germany had a big influence on the Committee of Union and Progress in 1915. Why didn’t Germans prevent any “genocide” against Armenians? They approved a groundless resolution against Turkey. They should be sure that they would respond for this resolution,” the MP stressed.

Niyazi Nefi Kara, Turkish MP from Republican People`s Party (CHP), said that in the presence of the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights, the adoption of such a resolution by the German Bundestag is unclear.

“Seeking for a partner in the genocide, Germany approved this resolution against Turkey. CHP leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu and other deputies repeatedly urged Bundestag members to avoid passing such a groundless resolution,” the MP said.

He noted that France`s decision on Sukru Elekdag and the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights on Perincek should have to remove this issue from the agenda forever, so it is pity that the Bundestag approved this resolution.

“We have repeatedly said that scientists must deal with historical issues, but not parliamentarians. It shows a bias attitude of Germany towards us and failure of Turkey`s foreign policy. The country`s foreign policy is improper, there is no effective fight over national issues abroad. The Turkish Foreign Ministry must use all means from now on to cancel the decision of the Bundestag and parliaments of other countries,” he added.

Burhan Kayaturk, Turkish MP from Justice and Development Party (AK Party), said the German parliament’s resolution will also prevent friendly steps of Turkey in the future.

He called the resolution a biased attitude towards Turkey.

Turkey is currently experiencing one of the most powerful period of its history, according to the MP.

“About a year and half ago, the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights passed a decision pointing out that it couldn’t characterize the events of 1915 as an act of genocide, but the German Bundestag approved this resolution. Turkey will continue to defend its right position and give an adequate response to Germany,” he concluded.
