The sides agreed on the delivery of aircrafts in two batches within 2 years.
2 aircrafts will be delivered in the first batch and 8 in the second batch. Value of the deal has not been disclosed. Initial payment has been reportedly made.
The An-178 made its first flight in 2015. The aircraft is capable of carrying 18 tons of cargo.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in his speech at Antonov plant a week ago that they reached an agreement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the purchase of the aircrafts of Antonov.
