`Azerbaijan committed to principles of democracy and human rights`
Azerbaijan is committed to the principles of democracy and human rights, Azerbaijan
The head of state said that at his meeting with the German chancellor, they discussed the political situation in Azerbaijan.

Necessary steps have been taken in Azerbaijan in order to ensure the freedom of assembly and speech, President Aliyev said noting that the population of Azerbaijan enjoys free internet access.

Also, in Azerbaijan there is freedom of religion and belief, he added.

Ilham Aliyev recalled that 2016 was declared the “Year of multiculturalism” in Azerbaijan.
