Powerful earthquake strikes Indonesian island of Lombok
A strong earthquake of 6.2 magnitude struck off the coast of the island of Lombok in central Indonesia on Thursday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The undersea quake hit at the depth of 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) at 04:13 GMT, according to EMSC data.

There is no information of casualties, tsunami warning was not issued.

Indonesia is located in the so-called Ring of Fire quake zone, where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
