He noted that the area is an ancient landslide zone.
“From time to time landslides happen in that place. The area is prone to landslide. Recent rainfalls have caused the landslide. Further landslides will hit the area in the future due to rainfalls and traffic,” he said.
Garalov added that the Baku-Shamakhy highway landslide area is included in topographic maps of potentially dangerous landslides.
