The conference was co-organized by the Press Council of Azerbaijan, State Fund for the Support of Mass Media Development under the President of Azerbaijan, Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Baku offices of Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency, TRT and Anatolia News Agency.
Chairman of Azerbaijani Press Council Aflatun Amashov spoke of the problems to occur in transition from traditional media to online media and coordination of joint activities among the Turkish speaking countries.
The event started with a minute silence in memory of Heydar Aliyev.
Hamit Karadeniz, press counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan touched upon the importance of media ties, stressing necessity of deepening them, exchange of experience in this field.
