One of the crew suffered severe brain injuries, while the other was in intensive care, but his injuries were not life threatening, doctors at an emergency hospital said.
"I heard a sound and came out and saw a helicopter trying to land. Then it crashed," eyewitness Rasim Softic said.
Local people pulled out the two crew members, of whom one was unconscious, before ambulances arrived.
It wasn`t immediately clear what caused the SA341 Gazelle helicopter to go down.
The tiny Balkan state, which is slated to become NATO`s newest member, has a small air force that includes five Gazelle helicopters which were made in former Yugoslavia under a French license.
