Ilham Aliyev extends his condolences to Barack Obama
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to his US counterpart Barack Obama and all Americans over the tragic Orlando shooting which left about 50 people dead and 50 more injured.
“Dear Mr. President, we were deeply saddened by the news of causalities in a terrorist attack in the city of Orlando, Florida,” President Aliyev said in a letter of condolence.

“Today the whole world is faced with the terrible scourge of terrorism. This situation calls for a general mobilization of forces and a decisive struggle against terrorism,” the president said, noting that Azerbaijan, as a country suffering from terrorism, remains committed to supporting the fight against terrorism.

“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I express my deepest condolences to you, families and relatives of the dead and all the American people, and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” Ilham Aliyev said.
