PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs arrive in Azerbaijan
The co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan by the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Stefan Schennach and Cezar Florin Preda arrived in Baku on June 15.
The co-rapporteurs’ visit is aimed at monitoring the repeat of parliamentary election in Azerbaijan`s Constituency No. 90 in Agdash, scheduled for June 18.

In addition, the co-rapporteurs will examine the situation with regard to Azerbaijan`s implementation of its PACE commitments and hold several meetings.

A five-member PACE mission was registered at Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission to monitor the repeat of parliamentary election in Azerbaijan. Jordi Xuclà (Spain, ALDE), who led the PACE mission during the Azerbaijani parliamentary election on 1 November 2015, has been appointed head of the mission.
