`Azerbaijan celebrates June 18th as the day of National Human Rights. It has achieved more successes in the field of human rights in a short span of time in comparison with the democratic countries`, Chairman of Human Rights Committee Bahar Muradova stated at the hearings held on the occasion of 18 June – Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azvision.az reports.
`The first `State program for the protection of human rights` signed by the decree of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev on June 18, 1998 led to the implementation of the main mission regarding human rights. The program has brought concrete results in ten years. Thanks to Haydar Aliyev for all the great achievements on the protection of the human rights. Azerbaijan has a special experience in this field`, Baharova said.
