Repeat parliamentary election kicks off in Aghdash, Azerbaijan
A repeat parliamentary election kicked off on Saturday in Azerbaijan
The Information Centre of the Central Election Commission’s Secretariat will provide initial information on voter turnout five times a day.

The voting will end at 07:00 PM.

Seven candidates are competing for a seat in Constituency No.90 in Aghdash.

Those are candidate from the New Azerbaijani Party Javid Osmanov (Chairman of New Azerbaijani Party’s Aghdash regional organization), candidate from Hope Party Igbal Aghazade (Chairman of Hope Party), as well as non-parties who nominated at their own initiatives – Rashad Abdullayev (teacher, Tofigi secondary school named after N.Magsudov, Aghdash district education department), Elmir Gozalov (senior specialist, Roads Protection Service of “Azeravtoyol” OJSC), Rashid Gozalov (inspector, Aghdash post office of “Azerpoct” LLC), Ali Hagverdiyev (doctor, Aghdash district central hospital) and Anar Ibrahimli (teacher, Aghdash State Humanitarian College).

As many as 741 local observers and four observers of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) (co-rapporteurs of the PACE’s Monitoring Committee Cezar Florin Preda and Stefan Schennach, Chairperson of PACE Committee, rapporteur on human rights in Azerbaijan Alain Destexhe and official of PACE Secretariat Bogdan Torcatoriu) have been accredited to observe the election.

Web cameras have been installed in 10 out of 40 polling stations.
