He made the remarks during the meeting with a group of Nardaran residents on June 21.
The head of state emphasized the importance of creating new jobs.
President Aliyev stressed that the residents of Nardaran, one of the oldest settlements on the territory of Baku, have always been faithful to the idea of statehood.
All freedoms, including freedom of religion is fully ensured in Azerbaijan, according to the president.
Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan’s achievements in this area have been praised by international organizations, adding that Nardaran residents have made contributions to strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence.
