President Aliyev: rule of law must be ensured in every part of Azerbaijan
The rule of law must be ensured in every part of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev said.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a group of residents of Baku’s Nardaran settlement on Tuesday.

The president stressed the importance of creation of new jobs.

“A lot has been done in Azerbaijan over recent years. The population is growing,” he said.

The growth of the population, according to the president, is an indicator of economic development. “…because people are becoming well-off and the demographic situation is getting better. At the same time, it requires creation of new jobs,” Ilham Aliyev noted.

The head of state said that the country`s economy and industrial production should grow in line with demographic development.

“Therefore, the process of creation of new jobs is a continuous process. Despite the fact that more than a million jobs have been created in recent years, we must always pay attention to this issue,” he said.

According to the president, the creation of new jobs requires investment.

“Public and private sector need investment. Serious steps have been being taken in this direction in recent years, reforms have been deepening. Thus, the country`s sustainable development is provided. In every part of the country, reconstruction works are carried out, public infrastructure, schools, hospitals, public buildings are built, and parks are created,” President Aliyev added.

He underlined the importance of creating favorable conditions in every residential area, including Nardaran.

“What has been done in Nardaran in recent months is evident. There is no need to comment on this issue. Nardaran is an ancient place of dwelling, which has been populated for centuries by people loyal to statehood. The Azerbaijani government is doing everything for the inhabitants of this settlement to live in peace," the president concluded.
