Ilham Aliyev offers condolences to Turkish president
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan over the terror attack at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey.
“I was deeply saddened by the news of the terror attack in which a great number of people killed and wounded. Today the whole world is faced with the terrible scourge of terrorism. This situation calls for a general mobilization of forces and a decisive struggle against terrorism`, President Aliyev said in a letter of condolence.

“On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and loved ones of those who died and the whole people of Turkey,” said the president’s message.

Note, Gunshots, screams and explosions pierced the air Tuesday as three terrorists armed with bombs and guns killed at least 36 people at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey.

At least 36 people were killed, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said. An additional 147 people were wounded, Turkey`s Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said.
