Azerbaijan applies special regime at military units
On the instructions on Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a special regime has been applied at all military units and formations in the country in order to prevent case of sunstroke among the personnel of the Armed Forces during the summer.
To protect soldiers from heat and sunstroke, combat readiness exercises will now be finished by 11:00AM and begin after 5:00PM local time, the Defense Ministry’s press service told.

Soldiers will not be gathered in areas exposed to direct sunlight or work in the sun and will instead be gathered at barracks and other shadowy places.

Soldier barracks, dining halls, medical facilities, etc. were provided with fans. Showers with cool water and additional water points were installed in the military units. The personnel were provided with drinking water and jars.
