Dilgam Asgarov who was taken hostage by Armenians in occupied Kalbajar district of Azerbaijan sent letter to his family, Dilgam`s son Kurdoglu Asgarov told AzVision.az.

`My father`s health problems are severe. He suffers from back and chest pains and cannot move. He is not given any painkillers. Last time I asked my father to visit doctor and do exercises. In his turn, he wrote in his letter that he could not do exercises because of pains`, he said.

`How does not the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) control the health conditions of the hostages? Why do not doctors examine my father? It is not fair in terms of human rights`, he stated.

My father`s words were being erased from the letter at first. Now they completely remove his words from the letter. It is almost impossible to read the letter. We have appealed to the European Court of Human Rights as if they deal with this kind of issues. My father has never ended the letter with his name. However, this time his letter closing includes `Kalbajar region, Dilgam Asgarov`. Most probably, he was angry while writing the letter. By these words he hints that I have done too many things for Kalbajar but you have done nothing for me! We have sent letters to five government agencies in a month stating my father`s health condition`, he added.

Asgarov told that he appealed to the embassies of Turkey, Iran, US and Russia in Azerbaijan about his father`s release.

`Only State Committee on Refugees and IDPs answered my appeal. It is stated that the works are continuing currently. We do not what what has been done on the issue for two years? The Iranian embassy wrote that your appeal has been reviewed. Other embassies did not respond`.




Dilgam Asgarov`s last letter says:

`I sent the letter in late June. Armenians gave your letter. Everytime you write me to exercise. However, pains in my heart, arm and legs do not allow me. The Red Cross know what the radio wants. I stay alone in cell. They took the radio. You write that world is chaotic. I know all of them. Write an appeal on meeting to Human Rights Commission. Most news about me on internet is not true. They took the radio. Write an appeal all of you, on meeting. I know your grades in exam. Take care of your grandfather. Read the letter carefully. Look at everyting carefully. Dilgam Asgarov, Kalbajar district`.
