Ongoing conflicts in Caucasus – threat to Europe’s security
The ongoing conflicts in the Caucasus pose a threat to Europe’s security, said Bahar Muradova, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA.
She made the remarks at the 25th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Tbilisi July 5.

Muradova noted, Azerbaijan has always supported the principles of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and opposed changing borders by force.

Azerbaijan stands for conflict resolution based on the norms and principles of international law and provisions of the Helsinki Final Act, said the delegation head.

“In the 25-year history of the Parliamentary Assembly, we are still facing issues contradicting the OSCE principles,” Muradova said, adding that a solution to the refugee crisis and the fight against violence and corruption should be a priority to OSCE.

She expressed regret over the failure to create a single counter-terrorism network in the OSCE PA.
