State cannot influence pricing in hotels – Minister
“The state cannot influence priceing in the hotels”, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said on July 11.
He noted that the state does not set price in the hotels and they are set by owners: “As a state, we can only enlighten the entrepreneurs, hold trainings for them and give recommendations on pricing”.

Garayev said tourism market in Azerbaijan does not undergo monopolism: “Everyone may engage in this sector. Everything is very transparent in this sector. Both domestic and foreign tourism must be developed. Domestic tourism must be developed in order Azerbaijani people not to travel to foreign country”.
