Azerenergy produced more than 22.5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in 2015 as compared to about 22.7 billion kilowatt hours generated in 2014.
Meanwhile, generation capacity of Azerbaijan`s power system grew by over third over the past six years.
At present, the generation capacity of Azerbaijan`s power system is 7,200 megawatts. As a result, it is possible to generate around 24 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually. This enables Azerbaijan to export 2.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
