The visit will start with a holy mass at the church of the Immaculate in the Salesian Centre in Baku.
Pontiff is also scheduled to meet with the country’s leadership, the leadership of the Caucasian Muslims Office, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
Before his trip to Azerbaijan, Pope Francis will visit Georgia, where he will also meet with the leadership and representatives of the country’s clergy.
