Ukraine doesn`t recognize Nagorno-Karabakh and welcomes Azerbaijan`s stance on Crimea - Poroshenko
Ukraine doesn`t recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state and welcomes Azerbaijan`s similar stance regarding Crimea, said Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

He made the remarks at a joint press conference with Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev in Baku July 14

“I want to clearly point out that Ukraine does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state and welcomes Azerbaijan`s similar position regarding Crimea,” said Poroshenko.

The president noted that Azerbaijan and Ukraine have agreed to coordinate multilateral cooperation and approaches in multilateral format, taking into account Ukraine`s membership in the UN Security Council.

“Azerbaijan actively supported Ukraine when it was a member of the UN Security Council. Now, Azerbaijan can rely on the firm support from Ukraine during its membership in 2016-2017,” he added.
