Four killed in small plane crash in Slovenia
All four people on board were killed as a small U.S.-registered aircraft crashed near the Slovenian western city of Ajdovscina on Thursday after reporting problems with icing.
The six-seater Piper 32 plane, flying on route from Venice to Leipzig, disappeared from radar before noon after the pilot reported problems with icing, followed by a mayday call, the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) reported.

Slovenian rescue services found the aircraft completely burnt down with the charred body remains in the rubble.

Regional police said the accident claimed four lives. No further details on the dead and the purpose of their flight were given.

Icing occurs when cold air conditions cause the formation of ice on surfaces of the plane, which leads to loss of visibility and its aerodynamics.
