Three-day National Mourning declared in France after Nice attack
French President Francois Hollande declared three days of mourning after deadly truck attack in Nice on Thursday`s night.
The president decided to declare a period of national mourning for the 16, 17 and 18 of July in commemoration of the victims," Prime Minister Manuel Valls told reporters after a meeting at the Élysée Palace.

"The flags will be flown at half mast on our public buildings today," he added.

Late on Thursday evening, a heavy truck hit a crowd celebrating the Bastille Day in Nice, killing 84 and injuring dozens more.

The driver was shot dead by police. According to ID documents found inside the truck, he was a 31-year-old man who was a resident of Nice of Tunisian origin. It is unclear whether he had any accomplices.
