The rector noted that the related procedures and issues will be addressed in stages.
The founder of Qafqaz University has notified the Azerbaijani Education Ministry about the closure the university, said a statement from the ministry.
The Education Ministry stated that after receiving relevant documents, it will create a working group in order to ensure the continuation of education of the Qafqaz University students and will carry out the process of their placement.
SOCAR Vice-president for Human Resources Khalig Mammadov posted on his Facebook page that the control over Qafqaz University has been given to Baku Higher Oil School by the decision of Azerbaijan International Education Center.
“Students of the Qafqaz University will continue their education as before,” Mammadov wrote. “The teaching staff of the university will also continue their work.”
