Major fire in West Moscow contained
A major fire that raged over a 5,500-square-meter area (almost 60,000 square feet) in a western area of Moscow, has been contained, according to emergency services.
The fire erupted at a three-storey former brewery building in the early hours of Thursday at Kutuzovsky Prospekt, in Moscow. It was classified at the third level of complexity.

The cause of the fire, according to preliminary data, was a malfunction of electrical equipment, according to a RIA Novosti source in emergency services.

"The fire has been localized at 04:07 by the measures taken," said according to a tweet from the emergency services.

All told, 72 fire-teams (totaling some 165 firefighters) were involved at the site of the conflagration.
