Explosion at arms factory in Azerbaijan, 12 people injured - UPDATED
Twelve people, injured in the explosion at an arms factory in Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city, have been placed to the Shirvan city central hospital, the country’s Ministry of Health told July 26.

According to the message, the injured people’s condition is serious.

9 people have been injured in an arms factory explosion in the eastern Azerbaijan city of Shirvan.

The victims have been hospitalized in the Shirvan central hospital, their condition assessed as grave.

Increasing the number of injured people is not ruled out.

Local health services have been mobilized in connection with the explosion which occurred at an arms factory in Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city, the country’s Ministry of Health told July 26.

According to the message, two ambulances have been already sent to the scene, while three ambulances are preparing to go there.

The necessary medical care is rendered to the injured, the message said.

A huge explosion occurred at the Araz arms factory in Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city July 26.
The factory is owned by the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan.
