Explosion at Azerbaijan’s arms plant: 11 injured, no killed
There are no killed as a result of the explosion at the Araz arms plant in Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city, said Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry which is the plant’s owner.

Eleven people were slightly injured as a result of the incident, said the ministry.

An explosion occurred at Araz arms plant at 15:25 (UTC/GMT + 4 hours), July 26, said the ministry.

The injured are receiving medical treatment and are under the care of doctors.

The explosion was caused by spark in 146 tons out of 1,500 tons of products ordered by the Ministry of Defense for recycling.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov has arrived at the scene.
Information about the cause of the incident will be provided after the investigation.
