Valiyev made remarks at an extended board meeting July 26, dedicated to the discussion of the work as of January-June 2016 and the upcoming tasks, the Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor`s Office said.
He stressed that an investigative group was also established.
Valiyev added that the Armenian armed units grossly violated the ceasefire and the requirements of international law.
He said that the Armenian armed units fired on the settlements in the contact line and the settlements and civilian facilities which are not located close to the contact line by using the large-caliber weapons, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
The 1994 ceasefire agreement was followed by peace negotiations. Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on withdrawal of its armed forces from the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding districts.
