Pope Francis has held a private meeting with an order of nuns at a convent in Krakow ahead of a visit to Poland`s holiest shrine on the second day of visit to the country.
Francis is making his first visit ever to Eastern Europe with a five-day trip to Poland for World Youth Day, a global gathering of young Catholics. He finds himself in a deeply Catholic country attached to the memory of the late Polish pope, St. John Paul II, but one so far not receptive to his call to welcome refugees fleeing war and conflict.
