Azerbaijan’s ruling party announces initiative group on referendum
The New Azerbaijan Party has held a meeting of initiators to create an initiative group to participate as a campaign group in the referendum on amendments to Azerbaijan`s Constitution was scheduled for September 26.
The party told that 315 delegations representing 3,952 primary initiators attended the meeting.

Taking into account the purpose of amendments to the Constitution, it was decided to call the initiative group “New Azerbaijan”.

Under the requirements of the Election Code, 24 authorized representatives of the initiative group and an authorized representative for financial issues were appointed. Besides, a decision was passed on submitting a notice to the Central Election for registration of the “New Azerbaijan” initiative group.
