Obama urged Congress to approve Trans-Pacific trade deal
U.S. President Barack Obama urged the Congress to approve Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) free-trade agreement.
The participants of the project are 12 countries, and negotiations were being conducted during Obama’s tenure in the White House.

Obama noted that TTP would lower tariffs on U.S. goods and, besides, will make the markets fairer for the American workers as it will oblige other participants of the agreement to observe tougher standards in the sphere of the labor relations and environment protection, The Washington Times reported.
